HALF OF CENTURY OF CULINARY TRADITION
In 1969. Katja and Ante Braco Santrić, after their return from Paris, opened Arkada, the first disco club in Dalmatia, where exquisite food was already served in VIP booths.
In 1986. Arkada official became a restaurant, and stayed one to this day. It is also the first restaurant in Split that provided catering services from the very beginning, even though in 1969. the word catering wasn‘t even used for that type of service.
Foundation for quality food and service was established by the first owner and founder Ante Braco Santrić, and the tradition was continued by his son in law Miro Bogdanović , who was one of most famous chefs in Croatia and builder of Dalmatian gastronomic scene.
As it usually goes, the family tradition is continued by Marko Bogdanović who acquired his know-how by growing up next to and learning from his grandfather Braco and father Miro.
The secret of great cuisine is based on a large number of original recipes, careful election off seasonal groceries and preparation of food just before serving. Ever since the opening in 1969. when Arkada opened its door for the first time the recipe for success was good balance between price and quality.
